春臨大地，三月的洛杉磯山花爛漫，橙色的加州罌粟不僅染紅山陵，似乎也隨風飄飛…定睛一看不是落瑛繽紛，而是成群的蝴蝶飛舞 — 原來是難得一見的蝴蝶大遷徙，逾十億隻小紅蛺蝶有墨西哥遷往太平洋西北岸，因而形成引人好奇的特殊景觀。
我喜歡畫一切飛揚的，舒展的，向上的。 蝴蝶，是我最喜愛的繪畫元素之一，不僅因為它的諧音與「福疊」相近，也因為它的美麗是經過蛻變而生，充滿生命活力。難得經歷「蝴蝶搬家」這般浪漫的景象，唱一首《兩隻蝴蝶》，心隨彩蝶翩翩飛…
About 1 billion butterflies, known as Painted Ladies, are flying at speeds of 20 miles per hour in a northerly direction from the deserts of Mexico to reach breeding grounds in Oregon to breed. How lucky to see this unusual view! I love butterfly’s lively beauty. It’s like a celebration of the Spring! Butterfly is one of the most frequent used elements in my paintings. It symbolize transmutation and hope. It is also a symbol of love and happiness in Chinese culture.
