My architect friend took me to Tsinghua University in Beijing. It is China’s highest academic standards. I happened to see the inflight movie “Forever Young” on the way to Beijing. This movie is to celebrate the school’s centennial of Tsinghua University. It talks about four generations of Tsinghua graduates, how they met the toughest challenges in the best time or their lives, and how they overcame these challenges.
I cried like a baby while seeing the movie. Especially when I saw a young guy dropped off school and became a pilot to protect the country. He flew alone again and again to airdrop food and supply to the poor children in the village, regardless the danger he might has. When the background music ” Amazing Grace” rang, I couldn’t stop my tears.
Walking in the historical campus, I reminded myself to follow the strength of character of those great people. Not just focus on “Me” but a greater purpose.
